Thank you for your interest in the City of Waller Animal Shelter Volunteer Program. We understand your time is valuable and we appreciate that you’re thinking about spending some of it with us! Volunteers are vital in helping us continue our mission to improve the lives of dogs and cats in our community.
It takes a community to save lives! Every hour donated saves resources.
Volunteers must be comfortable interacting with other volunteers and staff, work well independently or as part of a team, and provide their own transportation.
We can use volunteers to help us with maintenance, dogs, events, etc...
Shelter Buddies Reading Program
The Shelter Buddies Reading Program was designed to help our shelter dogs become more adoptable. Reading to the dogs helps to bring comfort to and reduce the anxiety of shelter pets, and it nurtures empathy in children.
